This helps maintain the pH balance in your bloodstream.  In, “Arm & Hammer Baking Soda Medical Uses,” published in 1924, Dr. Volney S. Cheney also stated that those who took daily doses of baking soda on his advisement reported that they were among the few that didn’t get the flu when it rampaged through their schools.

How to Fight Colds and The Flu with Baking Soda

In 1922, people knew about this inexpensive way to avoid colds and flu but it’s been forgotten by our modern society.

The method is very easy and safe.  You just need to dissolve the recommended amount of baking soda in a glass of cold water and drink it.  This is the method documented by the Arm & Hammer Company for colds and influenza back in 1925.
Day one: Take a total of six doses of half a teaspoon of baking soda in one cup of water. Take at two hour intervals.

Day two: Take a total of six doses of half a teaspoon of baking soda in one cup of water. Take at two hour intervals.

Day three:  Take only two doses — one in the morning and another at night.

Continue taking one dose in the morning until illness is cured.
