Have you ever heard of adrenal fatigue?

The Adrenal glands are smaller glands located on top of our kidney. The purpose of these glands is to produce hormones that supports the body in monitoring our sugar, reacts to stress if ever we feel major sickness or harm, burns fat and protein and manages our blood pressure. Cortisol and aldosterone are the two most important adrenal.

One of the most important role of the adrenal glands is to produce hormones that our body requires in time of pain or stress. Now you may ask, do adrenal glands get tired? It does, but in a different way that we might not expect. Here’s how it work, in time of anxiety or too much stress, our body keeps on asking for assistance from the adrenal glands, however there are times that it can run out of hormones to produce. If that continues, our body is having more difficulty in producing the required level of hormones needed like stress hormones, and that’s the time when Adrenal Fatigue happens, giving alarm that our body needs to rest. Adrenal fatigue can cause a feeling of tiredness, insomnia, and even depression.

This is not actually a disease or a condition in which the doctor can simply diagnose, however you should at least be aware of the signs and symptoms to make sure you can do extra preemptive measures to prevent them. Adrenal Fatigue can be serious if left uncheck, there are four stages of adrenal fatigue and if each stages are passed, then it can lead to adrenal insufficiency which can lead to  a serious medical condition.
