These two ingredients are highly beneficial for our health and body.

Bananas are a rich source of potassium and magnesium, which are minerals that improve the quality of the sleep. These minerals also help your muscles and veins unwind and destroy the negative impacts of an excess of cortisol (anxiety). Bananas also contain an amino acid, tryptophan, which helps to raise the serotonin levels that help regulate the sleep patterns.

The second ingredient of this recipe, cinnamon, contains amazing essential oils, like the eugenol, which is a phenylpropanoids class of chemical element that gives the sweet, pleasant aromatic fragrance, as well as vitamin A, pantothenic acid, niacin, and pyridoxine. This spice is also very useful for your health, as it alleviates and relaxes the body. Moreover, it helps digestion and blood circulation.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • Pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 liter of water

Method of preparation:

Boil the water in a small pot. Cut the ends of the banana and then add them into the boiling water. Let it boil for ten minutes and then pour the water into the tea cup or a mug through a colander. Now, add a pinch of the cinnamon to improve the taste and use its amazing properties.

Use:

You should consume this remarkable tea 1 hour before you go to bed.

***Update*** You may be wondering whether the banana should be peeled. In the original recipe, it uses an unpeeled banana, that is why you cut off the ends. But as a precaution (of various fungicides and pesticides), it’s preferable to treat the previously well washed peel with saline, baking soda or acid.  That is if you are not sure if these bananas are truly organic with no sprays.  If unsure, you can also just peel the skin off.

    Question, it says cut the ends of the banana off put into boiling water now do we Peel it or leave the peeling on?

    You put the ends of the banana in the water and boil them? I don’t think so, but that’s what the directions say.

    Is the ends of the banana supposed to be peeled? I’m wondering why just the ends of the banana. Wouldn’t boiling the banana destroy it’s nutrient properties?

  8. I still don’t understand – are you boiling the ends (about a1 inch cut) and are you actually boiling the banana peel????

    Extreme Natural Health News Thank you for your reply. The recipe still says, cut off ends of banana and put them in the water. I see the ingredients say, 1 banana , but then instructions are not clear.

    I don’t think so. If I drank a qt. of water required in this drink one hour before bedtime I would be up most of the night going to the restroom.
