Root canals are toxic storehouses. Dead teeth.

So, those of us with teeth with root canals should have them extracted? If so, will our health improve?

When you have root canals, just keep your body clean with rawfood and fruits (and green smoothies). Hope this will help, also myself.

I had thirteen RCs and finally had all my teeth extracted due to the Lyme bacteria living at the bottom of the canals. My health improved dramatically!!

So, if told you need a root canal, you should instead have the entire tooth extracted in hopes of preventing cancer, etc? Is that the take away?

I’ve seen this before. I remember talking to my mom about it. She had a root canal a couple months before she was diagnosed with gall bladder cancer. Dental work can be dangerous! The silver fillings they used to do were very dangerous (mercury)! I’m not surprised by this correlation.
Another study I read about found that:
women who don’t wear bras are about as likely as a male is to get breast cancer, which is around 3% I think.

Root canal, same side as the breast cancer. I’d read this before, and plan to have it out as soon as I heal from my mastectomy.
I believe it’s a contributor, but almost certain that a very traumatic stressful event was the actual trigger.
Major areas for years, with inability to properly deal with it. No support system where I was living. ( friends/family). Severe lack of vit D. Seditary, over weight, and ate bad too. Waaaay too much sugar!
Then that event, and I moved back home… 6 months after the stressful event, I found a lump.
I’ve had a lot of back xrays, lots of metal in my teeth, and the root canal on the same side too.
It all adds up. Like Russian roulette. Root canal might have been one more bullet, but I added the rest til I had a full barrel with poor lifestyle choices, and not getting help with my stress management and anxiety issues.
Never underestimate the power of your thoughts and emotions. They can be seriously detrimental or healing.

I had 3 rc, 2 next to each other, for 2 yrs the tooth kept hurting on and off. The oral surgeon couldn’t figure out why it hurt still, so we talked about getting it pulled if I still had problems. During that time I was having health problems, feeling sick , some days I could hardly function and I never associated it with the tooth, I was tired of the tooth hurting so I made an appointment to get it pulled and almost canceled it because I felt so sick thank goodness I didn’t because my sickness went away immediately after getting the tooth pulled, it was amazing how much better I felt. Then I got a pain on my left side and a bladder infection that won’t clear up , this article has raised more questions if the bacteria travel ed to other parts of my body, so glad to read this.

Speaking as a dental professional, this is absolute bull crap, used as a scare tactic. Yes, your teeth are a direct link to your heart, hence taking care of your teeth and gums with proper cleaning (professional cleanings) and proper dental treatments is 1 key to a healthy heart, mind, and body. I love the part of the news article that says, “what denitists do not know about the anatomy of your teeth…” What?! Seriously?! Ugh! The materials used today are safe and studied, by those who produce them, and use them. If you would like to have your teeth pulled instead of having a root canal and crown… go ahead and look like you live in the back woods, thats fine by most dentists… not recommended, but fine. Good luck finding a quality well versed dentist who will do that for you. You are more likely to end up in chop shop, chain dental clinic with someone who doesn’t actually care about your health. Rather than in an office where they will take precautionary measures to insure your safety and health. Before I jump off my soap box, I’d like to also state that you CAN NOT reverse a decaying tooth! Once there is decay, it can only be removed. I will say you may be able to slow the decaying process down with a Rx strength floride for a very limited time… but it is there, and no “oil” is going to reverse it. UGH! Your root canal did not cause your breast cancer or your kidney disease. Pick up a REAL medical journal and eduacate yourselfs.

I agree with you, Amy. There is no proof or sources cited and I also agree that statements like “What dentists do not know about the anatomy of your teeth” is a sure sign to me that this is BS. If you are on a soap box, I am right there with you. So easy to lie with “statistics” like these. Pat

I respect that you are a dental professional who is parroting every thing you were taught in school. Of course the producers of these products swear by its safety. Just like the crap we have been force fed about flouride since the 1950s. Flouride is NOT safe, and is incredibly toxic. Mercury amalgam fillings are NOT safe, and are toxic. Professionals need to do themselves & their patients a favor by reading studies done on the other side of what you were taught. Not everyone is 100% right. My 3 kids were born at home, not vaccinated, never saw a dentist because there was no problem, never had Flouride anything & are all now 30, 33, & 37 years old with no cavities ever. The oldest & middle child had each opted to see a dentist about having wisdom teeth extracted & both were raved over about their perfect teeth.

Amy Jarvis I have nothing to tell you about the cancer/root canal connection (I hope I never get cancer though I do have one root canal) but I have had a decayed tooth completely heal 100% !!! And no it’s not about oils or whatever you have “heard” it’s about a whole diet packed with superfoods and grass fed stocks etc!! Not an easy thing but absolutely true!! And about fluoride??? Wow!!! You need some serious readings/research!!!

  42. Amy Jarvis – are you recommending root canals to people? Do you believe they are safe?

  43. Heather Hands Nemcic – It is always best to do your own research and come to your own conclusion. But a lot of studies point to root canals not being a very good option. Leaving something dead and decaying…doesn’t sound the best to us, but of course…you need to come to your own conclusion
