My daughter has taken this medication for a year, her Dr does routine blood work to check if there are problems we have had none. Most people that have issues with adderall are not getting it from a Dr

Adderall as its known has been around for years and when prescribed to a child who actually does have adhd or add can make a big difference and I wish I would have put my daughter on it earlier but was against medicating her but she can finally focus and is doing great on it and in people who actually have add or adhd it does not act as speed and as long as it’s taken the right way and not recreationally it is safer then many other medications

I take it and stay on a low dose. It’s a miracle drug for those of us that struggle everyday with ADHD symptoms. I’m more forgetful and unmotivated if I don’t take it.

unfortunately this child’s chance of becoming drug addicted as young adult is about 75%……………..Diet plays a big role in child brain. Most of the children that are diagnosed with this Disease of the month club are themselves ADD……ADHD, but because it is acceptable…………. drugs will be given,,,,,sometimes single parents go for the “Disability Compensation” because THEY CAN. Mean while we continue to allow these children to behave off the wall even on meds I watch parents treat them like a retarded or GIFTED, SPECIAL child which does just as much damage as DRUGGING the child instead of CHANGING things causing.

I hated putting my son on it. When I began to homeschooling, I could see the difference when he didn’t take it. Unfortunately he outgrew it, and it didn’t work after about six years. His concentration and focus are better now, he gained a lot of weight after it was discontinued, which eradicated the hyperactive part. Unfortunately he has a tremor which will likely persist many years or for the rest of his life.

I am sorry to hear that this didn’t work for a lot of you however I would love to be able to help…I represent a company called nerium international and they have a patented product called EHT. It is an all natural brain supplement full of vitamins that is helping lots of people in these situations. Since it is a supplement there are no medical implications but If you are honestly interested in helping it would be a great alternative to the medications with amazing results and none of the negative side effects….here’s a video. ehthealthybrains.com
Watch it then contact me and we can talk about your happier and healthier future.

Each their own. My daughter takes low dose only during school and it has made a huge difference! I took it as a child and I am not a drug addict! You just stay under doctors care and you should be fine…and it’s not just prescription drugs doing damage…even over the counter medicines…people can be so naive to judge as long as it’s not happening to you!

Increase their risk of drug addiction by 80%…. These drugs permanently change the way their brains work.
Sad truth the doctor’s don’t even know exactly how…..or what the long term effects will be….try oils… Diet…. something..we were told by my daughter s teacher she would not continue to teach her until she was tested for add….we put her on retalin….she started doing awesome in school…..thought it was magic….not ….complete disaster….. Changed her….dead at 25 of accidental overdose….we had tried many things first…..teachers just expect every child to sit for 7 hours every day….

I hear you Edna. My two daughters think like we do, but when I tell other friends and family about what the medical industry is doing to us, they turn their heads and don’t want to hear it. As long as there is an MD behind someone’s name, they go along with whatever they say. Even the dangers of vaccines don’t affect their way of thinking. Vaccines and drugs are the majority’s friend. Certainly not mine…

Parents and Physicians should try adding the Omegas and B vitamins etc first before resorting totry Adderall. It made a difference in J as 5-6. an immediate focus in that he picked up Highlights magazine, read all of the stories and worked the puzzles. However I quickly saw the 5 mg dose worked 1 hour less each day. I decided to investigate natural alternatives. J could tell me that he need the omegas..because his brain was trying to go crazy. I did discover that he is selenium deficient J wanted to try fresh goat milk. Wow! 3 0z of goat milk and he was a different kid. Goat milk has 23% more selenium than cow milk. My goats were fed mostly new Mexico alfalfa at the time. So lmow it was nutricious. I do keep up the B vitamins and the zinc and magnesium. Try to limit the colors but when he reached 12 he had all of the answers. Processed meats are a killer. an occasional hot dog or sandwich is ok. Milk chocolate is another bad guy. Dark chocolate makes him sleepy. Cashews as a snack is adding selenium. Dark leafy green vegetables like spinach and collard greens. He is 13 now and has been taught what to eat and not to eat. Exercise and sunlight, Just as if he were a child with diabetes. he needs salmon or seafood at least once a week.
