Froot loops are a very popular breakfast for kids. But, a sample that was sent for a test should have parents concerned.
No one really thinks about what is in their child’s breakfast cereal. But, are Kellogg’s Froot Loops really safe to eat? An independent DNA lab test has verified that 100 percent of corn in Kellogg’s Froot Loops is genetically modified corn. The corn they use contains DNA sequences that are present in an insecticide that produces Bt and Roundup Ready corn.
Soy also contains DNA sequences that are present in Roundup Ready GMO soy. Tests have documented the presence of glyphosate at 0.12 mg/kg, the main chemical in Roundup. Bt crops, like Bt corn, have shown to cause serious health problems. EPA has registered Bt corn as a pesticide as the crop makes its own insecticide.
There have been in-vitro studies that have found that insecticides in corn that was used in Froot Loops that can be toxic to human kidney cells. “We find it disturbing that Kellogg’s is feeding children unlabeled GMOs and toxic herbicides. Statistics show that this is the first generation of children that are sicker than their parents. Is Kellogg’s endangering our children? Based on the growing body of scientific evidence, we believe so and we hold Kellogg’s accountable. Parents need to know what they’re feeding their children, and Kellogg’s is spending millions to keep the composition of their products hidden.”
