I totally respect your point and on a certain level I understand that you avoid heavily processed foods.
But the reality is, chemicals are in things that are safe to consume, or considered ‘natural’: baking soda, baking powder… Salt…. chlorophyll (the stuff that makes plants green)….

Aminosweet is actually a better name for it as aspartame is a polypeptide which is a bunch of amino acids so calling it Aminosweet tells you more about aspartame than its original name.

My issue is with the lab created additives. I am aware we need Nacl, potassium. The BHT, bha, aucralose, soy lethicin, etc are the additives I object. I use none of those when cooking.

It’s important to know what you are eating – and important to understand the way marketing works: In a move to cover up it’s bad reputation, aspartame may be disguised as a new name in your favorite foods – aminosweet.
Used as a sugar substitute and often marketed under the brand names Nutrasweet or Equal, aspartame is regarded as an excitotoxin. Its use has been mired in controversy since the 1980s when the CEO of Searle, Donald Rumsfeld, pushed for its approval. Now, its name is being changed with FDA approval, will millions more be tricked into purchasing and consuming this toxin once again?
