Rosemary (Rosemarinus officinalis) is a great multi-purpose herb that has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.

Rosemary can be infused into an oil and used externally for skin conditions like eczema. Rosemary oil makes a powerful massage oil  for any pain such as sore muscles, backaches, and soothe arthritis pain. Massaging the affected area with this oil can relieve pain from sprains and joint aches due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It is also very soothing and healing to skin, and makes a good hot oil hair treatment.

How to Make Rosemary Infused  Oil

Ingredients

  • rosemary springs
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • Strainer
  • Bowl
  • Mason Jar

Directions:

  1. Cut enough fresh rosemary to fill your Mason jar. Pack the clean Mason jar with the clean dry rosemary.
  2. Top with olive oil. Secure the lid on the jar.
  3. Place the jar in a sunny window for about a month
  4. Then strain over a bowl.
  5. Pour the finished rosemary infused oil in a small glass container, and it’s ready to use.
  6. Store the infused oil in a cool, dark place such as a kitchen cabinet for two weeks.
