“In a few days the cough will disappear ” …. Yes… But that sounds a lot like how long it will take to “run its course”

Theobromine, the key ingredient in cacao (chocolate) has been shown to be 30% more effective than codeine against coughs, which is to say “highly effective”. It works by suppressing vagus nerve activity, which is what transmits the impulse to your brain to cough. We have proven this out through the years with our family. It’s amazing. Around 2 ounces of dark chocolate does the trick (according to the study), but we’ve found even less can really squash a cough through the night so you can catch up on some much needed sleep. We usually have a few extra bars of Hershey’s special dark chocolate (35% cacao) for this very reason. We have given as high as 90% dark chocolate to our kids, and they kill the cough all the same (though admittedly it seems like we can get away with giving them less of the darker chocolate). A few squares of chocolate and a messy smile later, and our kids climb back in bed and are out for the night. If someone in your family is losing sleep to a cough, you should really try it.

Daytime coughing = good. Nighttime coughing = squash it with dark chocolate.

It has been a miracle worker for us. Try it and let me know how it works. Need me to bring you a bar?

This is amazing <3 🙂 I am going to have to try this next time my kid gets a cold. Once again this is just another reason why I love natural home remedies so much <3 Instead of spending tons of my hard earned money on toxic medications and doctor bills I would much rather use more alternative medicine.I would highly suggest that everybody start using natural remedies, you will never go back. If you want to learn more about natural remedies I would suggest reading this story.
