It was only this morning I watched a video on MSN homepage that had a Dr talk about using the microwave is safe & even healthier is some cases. I’m not a scientist to test the nutritional value of food after either method so it’s really hard to know what is right.

Have not had a microwave for 27 years now and never miss it. A doctor advised me back then that the high heat in them destroy the enzymes in our food. I never liked the taste of food cooked in them anyway so I had no trouble pulling the plug.

I use a steamer and my toaster oven to cook and re-heat left overs. Have been doing this for over 20 years since I kicked the microwave to the curb and never looked back!!!!!!

Quit the microwave 12yrs ago!! People need to wake up! Soooo many reasons you should not use a microwave! Use a toaster oven or oven…takes only 10mins longer & food tastes wayyyy better!!

Yep, when we moved here to TX we didn’t bring ours either, and I don’t miss it, my husband doesn’t either. Just as easy to pop something in the toaster oven or in a pot on the stove. We didn’t bother getting a dryer either…. lol we’re roughing it. hahaha First week here we didn’t have a.c. either, that was a bit much.. at 110 degrees. lol

They are safe if you DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING ON TOP WHILE COOKING, oh and be extra careful putting anything with a stick inside. I nearly burned down my apartment twice. I was young lol

Microwaves are banned in Russia.. I have been to Brazil 6 times and have never seen a microwave. They emit radiation and they kill the nutrients in food.
