Bed bugs are small oval non-flying insects that belong to the insect family Cimicidae, which includes three species that bite people. Adult bedbugs are reddish brown in color, appearing more reddish after feeding on a blood meal. Nymphs or the small ones are clear in color and appear bright red after feeding. The wings of bed bugs are vestigial, so they cannot fly. However, they are able to crawl rapidly.
Bed bug bites may lead to a range of skin manifestations from no visible effects to prominent blisters. Effects include skin rashes, psychological effects, and allergic symptoms. But until fairly recently, most people had never seen a bed bug. And unfortunately, learning how to get rid of bed bug bites involves much more than simply stopping the itch. Before your existing bites even begin to fade, new bites will appear as the pests are great at hiding. Home remedy I don’t think so …but Home hardware does carry a Bed bug spray ( same makers a Fly spray I believe ) and it does work surprisingly and only 10 bucks a can ( thankfully was a friend’s place that needed it and not mine).
