Im no expert but I take a sliver of fresh tumeric root everyday. Its not expensive and u r getting the fresh, raw unprocessed version as opposed to powders and supplement form….probably good too but the fresher more unprocessed the better. You can put slivers in tea and smoothies…its tasty too…

So the best form is the root? I take the pills everyday but I don’t feel much relief or I should say I don’t feel any relief. I have fibromialgia and I’m looking for a natural alternative to pain medicine.

Turmeric is much better absorbed if you take it with some black pepper. Chewing raw ginger is helpful for pain. You might also try frankincense, yes like Jesus got from the Wise Men, go online and get organic, it’s not too expensive, and I’ve heard that Essiac Tea is also good… Check out GreenMedInfo.com for newsletter and lots of evidence-based, peer-reviewed articles on naturopathic healing. Good luck, there’s lots of good food-as-medicine ideas out there. 🙂

I grow 5 pots of turmeric plants. Because I m addicted to juicing green vegetable. 3 granny smith apples, 2 stalks of celery, 1 medium size cucumber, 1/4 inch ginger root, 3 inches fresh turmeric root, 1 lemon fruit, 1 medium size carrot. Wash them vegetables/fruits, slice to fit the juicer. Great super juice. <3
