I thought you were supposed to use black pepper to activate the tumeric, not cayenne pepper?

This sounds delish! I drink something similar at night. I drink a botanical blend of adaptogens to help my body relax and combat stress. I love it… It’s changed my life.

Turmeric must be consumed with some kind of fat or oil in order to be absorbed. Freshly ground black pepper helps it to stay in the bloodstream for a longer period. For accurate, science-based information on the most effective ways to use it, check out the Turmeric User Group.

I just found freeze dried ginger! Comes in a small jar, pieces are about 1/4″ each. I just pour a bit into my teacup with the teabag, and they float for easy retrieval 😉
