Replace your toothpaste now with coconut oil. Check out the article we found over at Organic Health.
Coconut oil has always been great for our skin, but did you know it is also good for our teeth? In a recent study, coconut oil has been found to be quite effective against tooth decay; so why wouldn’t you want to brush your teeth with it?
1. No, Foam!
Surfactants which throw our taste buds all out of whack are found in almost all toothpaste which is why everything tastes so disgusting right after you brush. Therefore, Coconut oil won’t make you as queasy after each use.
2. Inexpensive
Coconut oil costs next to nothing and ‘coconut oil toothpaste’ is quick and easy to make. Made mostly of baking soda coconut oil, of course, Erythritol, salt, and peppermint oil (for flavor.)
3. No fluoride
Fluoride seems to be linked in as one of the main reasons for decaying teeth.
It is a big part of most toothpaste used today.
4. Saves Enamel
Tooth decay affects almost everyone nowadays, and it has been recently found that
coconut oil slows the growth of strains of the Streptococcus bacteria. It can even stop the streptococcus mutans from binding to tooth enamel.
5. Antibiotic
Coconut oil works as a natural antibiotic and helps keep inflammation down near your mouth even if by simply using it as mouthwash.
6. It’s Natural
Let’s face it, everyone, here lately has been trying to find more natural less harmful ways to do things and containing no harmful chemicals it’s definitely better for your teeth in the long run.
7. Safety
Coconut oil toothpaste is safe for the whole family. You’ll never have to worry about the kids getting into it and eating too much or your pets gnawing down on a whole tube.
