Ovaltene Jones ,yep They are great for flushing out food debris. Especially good for braces and bridges, implants etc. It flushes and soothes the tissues, It does not remove plaque so you still have to use tooth brush AND dental floss.

I have c.v.s. and did not have dental for the last many years… coconut oil pulling and baking soda toothpaste among other things have truly protected/saved my teeth from this illness. Finally have dental again and just had a cleaning/checkup… my dentist said my teeth are perfect and no bad changes since my last visit years ago. Hardly ANY plaque at all… one tooth in the far back near my gumline had a little but he had to really look for some lol and no erosion, no cavities… very good! And i am not a regular flosser… i floss only if i know something is stuck. Love all things coconut lol

That’s not true, toothpaste doesn’t make you not have cavities, it’s your diet of sugar. Regular toothpaste is poison. I’ve been in Dentistry for 34 years.

Xylitol will cause hypoglycemia and liver failure in dogs and cats. It’s safe for humans, but because it is so toxic to pets I would never have it in my house.

Gotta be careful with oils.
Some people have bad reactions from them. Example.
I can’t stand lavender, I feel like vomiting. But I know it can heal.

Alice L. Cole so normally when brushing teeth over sink, we spit toothpaste into. Any ideas for someone new to this? Don’t want coconut oil to clog drains. Do you keep a garbage can by sink, or disposable Dixie cups, or ?

Sure! It’s not ‘scientific’ measuring but I take one part BS to one part fine ground pink himalayan salt and put it a salt shaker and mix it together. When I brush, I put about a half teaspoon or so in my palm and get it good and wet with the peroxide and scoop it up with my brush. Be sure to use a soft bristle brush.

Right on. I used natural tooth products but no amount of any kind of product (natural or otherwise) replaces flossing and brushing.
Denise, toothpaste freshens your breath it is not what cleans your teeth.

Abigail Walters, I bought peppermint essential oil and put a little of that on my toothbrush first, then baking soda and coconut oil. I’m much happier with it.

I used it for 6 months. When I went to my check up I had 2 cavities , it had been years since I had 1. My son had 5! Yes 5 since his last check up. And before anyone says sugar, we don’t eat it. Now I just don’t know what to do because they want my son on a special tooth paste that has higher amounts of fluoride in it. I have not gotten it filled yet because I know it’s bad I am just so confused now. And his 1st appointment is today to have one filled and o know she’s going to ask me if he’s using the new tooth paste.
