Do not swish with raw lemon juice! Even Dr. Oz mentions raw lemon juice takes calcium directly out of your tooth and is very dangerous.

Lemon juice is really bad for your teeth. I used to eat a bag of lemons a week. Yes I love lemons. Then my dentist freaked!

Then here’s another gem from Dad: Flu/cold remedy =black elderberry extract aka Sambucus nigra L. is nature’s answer to what modern Western medicine claims there is no cure for (besides a sketchy shot full of flu & mercury) & it cost less. I found it at Wegmans. I even found a natural honey based cough syrup at Wal*Fart (containing elder berry, propolis, bougainvillea glabra, gnapaphalium, eucalyptus, mentha piperita & flower pollen) made in Mexico called Broncolin. Compare that ingredient list to other cough syrups, then see which one your kids/ pets prefer! Yes, I give a tsp of Broncolin to my 11 yr old dog when her sniffle comes & goes.

  10. Any health food store but you can also get it at your local supermarket where all the other oils are located. Be sure to get organic.

Cloves work great on a toothache but very temporarily. Can’t have peppermint because its bad for another condition I have. But I really appreciate the suggestions

Question? Has anyone added a little peroxide to their coconut oil to help whiten teeth, and fight bacteria?

No but there are good and not so good coconut oil on the markets. It is getting like olive oil. Buy it from a heath food store for making toothpaste. It is different.

Geri Sams Vacovsky I don’t understand? You say sugar is always the culprit? Hmmm as a medical professional shouldn’t you know that mom diet while pregnant and genetics play a large role along with teeth arrangement like being too close together causing floss misuse. Or what about lack of fat soluble vitamins from diet.
