Dentists and scientists have been fighting about  a certain dental procedure for years.  The scientist believe this procedure is causing many people a whole lot of health issues, while the dentists say its a completely safe procedure. There is now way too much evidence and studies showing proof that the dental procedure can lead to serious life threatening or chronic health issues including cancer and heart disease to be ignored.  You might have heard of this procedure before, a Root Canal?  If you have a root canal, are thinking of getting one, or know someone with a root canal, you must send them this article.  They need to know what they’re getting themselves into and so do you!

The “logic” in this article is nonsense and the “evidence” is unsubstantiated. Please don’t believe everything you read on the Internet. Dr Google does not have a degree or doctorate in anything.

Following…I’ve had 3 back top molars done, just on the past year and a bit. I talked to my dentist about this very thing, said root canals are perfectly safe. I told him to pull them but he wasn’t in favour as he said I wouldn’t have my chewing teeth. I also had braces about 7-8 yrs ago, pulling wou

I don’t know for sure if this right but I read this some were if the root canal is on one side your cancer is on that same side. True for me for my root canal is on the left and that is the same side I had cancer. (Arlene)

Besides, how does eliminating infection (in the diseased pulp) and saving a tooth cause cancer? sounds ridiculous to me

Everything causes cancer! The food we put in our mouths everyday, the chemicals we clean our houses with, the soaps and shampoos we clean our bodies with and so much more!! Cancer is a billion dollar industry and its sick and sad that our governments knows all these things yet very little is done about it! Everything in moderation I guess….? I have seen so many friends mostly all under 30 years old suffer all types of cancers, even lost one at 15!! All young healthy active people!! Cancer doesn’t discriminate!

It’s just another study to talk about that probably has nothing to do with BC. But maybe one day Dr’s will be lucky enough to find a cure.

Get a grip people. This is patently false. If it were true, the perpetrators of this myth would happily post the peer reviewed study showing the link. Thank God for Snopes: http://www.snopes.com/medical/toxins/rootcanal.asp

I have had several root canals some are 30 years old and don’t have any disease. However people who need root canals routinely have autoimmune issues, severe allergys, etc. As time goes on the health issues can escalate and manifest in different ways and probably would have shown up even without the root canal.

  19. Just about 100% of people who regularly go to the dentist get root canals. These are the kind of people who would pay attention to their health in general. A double blind research test is needed.

The problem is that the infection in root canals is not eliminated. They just cover it up; the bacteria remains and causes desease including cancer.

Our immune system battles cancer as long as we live. It starts when we are young and continues throughout our lives. When the immune system is overwhelmed and can no longer do this job, or it cannot recognize the cells as cancerous we have a problem. You can’t blame any one specific treatment or event in your life that would cause cancer.

Nancy the dentist I work for has done lots of studies and is in the process of writing a paper about this and there is a big correlation! Not a saying there aren’t people who end up with cancer who don’t have root canals but the lymph system that the infection follows is the same! In thermography you can often see inflammation in the Rc’d tooth and the breast on the same side!

So my question would be…how can they prove that the infection is causing cells to change from healthy cells to malignant cells? Or is the lymphatic system being “overworked” by the infection that it can’t “clean up” the malignant cells?

I think it’s a factor of the immune system just can’t fight the chronic infection that a root canal leaves behind! Not necessarily that it’s causing malignant cells-

Extreme Natural Health News this is indeed propaganda fear mongering with zero scientific basis. Spreading false information is negligent because you could lead naive, trusting people to forgo needed dental work and end up with serious infections and pain spreading through their bodies or even to believe they won’t get breast cancer if they don’t have root canals. You are spreading lies to get people to signup for your service, and that is false advertising that could lead to harm and even death.

And why not a much higher percentage of men also getting breast cancer if a root canal is as dangerous as you are claiming? These are lies to get people to buy their products and services, and it is negligent.

…and you still have the same chance of getting breast cancer as you did before doing so because ZERO scientific evidence shows a connection between the two. What evidence does show is that just as many men get root canals as women, so if they were a major cause of breast cancer, then just as many men would get it as do women.

Michelle Willis McLeod it was lymphoma, stage four. And yes, she did. She had them removed and changed her diet completely and did vitamin c injections and no more cancer. Root canals are dead. Leaving dead cells with inert material can lead to cancer, as can deodorants and antiperspirants and a high sugar diet. Wake up.
