  1. Says boil water and add ginger. It does not say if you boil the ginger, or how long to let it sit??

Usually you simmer for approx. 5-10 min. But I have just poured boiling water over the ginger in my mug and let it steep for 10 min before drinking. I make sure to eat as much of the ginger as I can as well.

I noticed the peel still on in the photo. Do we not meet to peel it first before boiling?Somewhere alone the line I read to peel then slice fresh ginger and store in freezer. Makes it easy to grate. I like the garlic press idea.

I always peel mine. I find the skin too papery for me, and I can’t always find organic. You can freeze it but I question if some of the enzymes get destroyed in doing so. Although it would make for easier grating with a grater. Because I like to use the garlic press I just refrigerate it after the first cut. The garlic press works perfectly. It makes for better flavour that way, and I press it over my mug and just pour the boiling water into my cup . Using a pot on the stove is a good idea if you want to make a bigger batch. Any left overs can be put in the fridge. It’s delicious cold as well!
