According to my doctor the only way to get iodine is in iodized salt. What is natural iodine and where do you get it?

Liquid Iodine plus potassium iodide. Got it at a health store. This is a Life-Flo product. This is liquid, not a pill.

Table salt is terrible builds up in your body exasperating edema and heart issues. Getting miniscule Iodine from table salt is not worth it . Eat foods rich in Iodine or buy liquid drops. I’m going nuts with these I can’t eat salt because of blood pressure. Table salt is bad bad bad. Pink salt is a mineral.

  33. That’s untrue It said right in this article it’s high in iodine. It’s the table salts that usually have no iodine or added iodine back in after the makers of salt add in caking agents and sometimes ‘their’ iodine is added after

Use this salt all the time… only salt I’ll use for fermentiong foods too. Can’t use salt with anti-caking agents like a lot of processed salts have (even a lot of sea salts).

Trudy, all I know is that I was using only sea salt and my doctor foes routine blood work. My levels showed dangerously low iodine and I was told to go back to table salt with iodine. Levels back to normal so I’ll trust my doctor. She’s amazing!!

I am wondering if i am the only person on earth that Himalayan salt makes sick and the salt lamps make me feel like my brain is spinning. It was very scarey but now that they are out of the house my brain has settled down and doesn’t feel like that any more. And i don’t eat the salt or touch it any more and i am feeling way better.

That’s strange because I purchased a pink salt lamp and noticed that I felt dizzy when I plugged it in for a couple days. I took it out and thought I would try it again later to see if thats what it truly was. I have yet to do that. I will attempt soon and post my results to this comment. I however, have no issues eating the pink salt tho.
