As a dental hygienist I cannot agree with this wisdom teeth more often than not cause periodontal problems due to patient inability to keep it clean. Also for many there is no room for them and can cause pain at times. So I do believe it is better to have them removed sorry.

I agree! I worked for an Oral Surgeon for over 15years and have seen how leaving unerrupted wisdom teeth can lead to cysts in the jaw not to mention they can damage the adjacent roots of the molars! Never leave impacted wisdom teeth!

No I lost 2 of my back teeth that were root canal ed n capped but eventually disintegrsted. So maybe my wisdom would have moved into place. My mother had them removed bc I had braces n dentist recommend ed not to crowd my new aright teeth

My daughter, 19, dentist days she should get all 4 removed, now I see this and wonder. My two boys got their all 4…. Wish I knew a real reason then

I would say only get them out if they cause you problems. I have had 3 removed and 1 is still there, hasn’t pushed through and probably never will.

I let mine be for several years. But they had holes in the sides and I wasn’t able to clean them well. Bad breath happens and as dental people are saying, I have periodontal problems.

Mine hurt like a devil coming in and then the crowns fell off so they were pulled. Teeth need good nutrition to be life lasting… barring accident, of course.

i had the bloody lot out at 19.. that was in 1973.. 14 theeth out anf 2 plates in, and gas, cost me $106.. no denist bills or tooth ache since….
